This weekend I had the great fortune to be involved in a master class with the celebrated filmmaker/writer Neil Labute. I learned a great deal from Neil, particularly about the amount of improvisation involved in making film and TV from a director's perspective. Being on a mock film set reminded me that it's been a while since I've been on a real film set, and I got to reminiscing about the good times I had working on independent films in Boston before coming to Columbia. And as luck would have it, I just got some very cool news about one of those films!

I appeared in Cambridge-based director Federico Muchnik's This Killing Business, a darkly funny, neo-noir thriller about a sociopath who is able to climb the corporate ladder in the most violent way possible. I played Kevin Ainslee, a young up-and-comer who's the perfect patsy for some of the lead character's crimes. I had a blast working with some incredible Boston-area actors on a delightfully funny and fast-paced script. If you weren't able to see the film, or have never heard of it, I've got some great news: the entire film is now available to watch on Vimeo, free of charge! Check it out here! And if you'd like to watch the trailer or read more about the movie and the people who made it, check out the project website, www.thiskillingbusiness.com. Enjoy!
